In your detective squad, sit around the table that is labelled “TASTE”.
There are 4 samples to taste. Using a plastic spoon one at a time, taste test each of the samples and record what you think it is. With the other detectives in your group discuss:
How would you describe the taste of each sample?
Is it sweet? Salty? Bitter? Sour? Tangy?
NOTE: Before setting up this station, please make sure there are no allergies to each of the samples.
Remember: You shouldn’t normally taste things if you don’t know what they are, especially if no adults are present.
Write down what you think you tasted on your worksheet.
